Labyrinth of Dreams

from Labyrinth of Dreams by Jason Aaron Wood

/

about

As the story line begins, the tendency for dreams to be interconnected throughout the night of sleep is metaphorically treated as a labyrinth. Based on actual events & recurring themes within my own dreams throughout my lifetime.

lyrics

One after another,
I fade from dream to dream...
Walk with me, don't be afraid...
Just take my hand, and then we'll fade away...

But don't let go or else I fear we'll never meet again...
In my hand, I feel you vanish from my side,
And once again, I'm left alone here inside
This labyrinth of dreams...

Shifting though these endless dreams,
Is nothing as it seems?
I can't rely on my own senses...
Will I ever, ever awaken again and
Be released from the never-ending web of my dreams?

My sense of time is boundless...
I can't tell hours from years...
Drifting through the dream world of my mind,
Is there no one there to hear me?

There's nowhere else to go but deeper still into the dream...
There's no chance to escape from my own mind,
Or this eternal trance...
I'll forever be confined
To this labyrinth
